The Khmer Rouge saw the traditional Khmer wedding as they saw all religious practises and education at school or university.It was waste of time and no help in producing RICE(which could be in exchange4arms&weaponries from red evil china,enlai Chow=illuminatee) .
Mass Wedding were therefore established as it took so little time.Traditional clothes,dancing,singing,and religious ceremonies were prohibited.Most men and women're not allowed to chose their partners independently,insteaD EACH COUPLE was designated by ANGKaR,which claimed to be everyone's parents,the main purpose of wedding for khmer rouge was not to form family units But to produce Children who could serve the revolutions.
A khmer Wedding on the wedding day ,men and women were asked top stand in TWO ROWs.Then the villager chief would ask couples to hold each others' hands and to vow to live together for the rest of their lives—that signified they were married.The brief Celebration ended when some food was served.:devil:
